IBN BATTUTA (Season 1)
IBN BATTUTA – THE ANIMATED SERIES is a 13-episode animated series of 22 minutes each depicting the legendary travels of a great Muslim traveler in the 14th century named Ibn Battuta. He was the only medieval traveler known to have visited every land under the reign of a Muslim ruler. Ibn Battuta traveled through 44 countries across 4 continents, crossing both land and sea, proclaiming him even a greater explorer than Marco Polo and Vasco Da Gama.
The journey covered nothing less than 75,000 miles, an astonishingly great distance unsurpassable at that time in history. The account of his travels has been considered an important document and influence on the development of Islam from Arabia to other parts of the world.
IBN BATTUTA – THE ANIMATED SERIES is developed for teenagers and young adults. Every episode showcases new adventure in a different country, clearly highlighting the richly unique cultures, artistic values and surroundings of each country. Through the series, we are able to see the lessons learnt by the great traveler that made him the wise man that he was in his golden years.
IBN BATTUTA – The ANIMATED SERIES is developed in 3D animation coupled with Toonshade 2D treatment, giving it the edgy graphic quality.
